I.   Creative movement (ages 2.5 -4 ) placements based on age only

II.  Pre-Ballet (4-5) placements based on age only

III. Beginner ballet (ages 5-7) placements based on skill first then age

IV. Advanced-beginner ballet I (ages 6-8) placements based on skill first then age

V. Advanced-beginner ballet II (ages7-9) placements based on skill first then age

VI. Intermediate ballet  I (7-10) placements based on skill first then age

VII. Intermediate ballet II ( 9-12) placements based on skill first then age

VIII. Advanced Intermediate ballet (12 +) placements based on skill first then age

IX. Intermediate Advanced ballet (14 +) placements based on skill only

X. Advanced ballet (15 +) placements based on skill only

Mom & Me Ballet
This class is designed for youngest dancers just starting to explore dance. Coordination and rhythm are stressed in an environment that fosters creative expression. This class is for student and adult parent/friend. Private lessons available upon request.

Creative Movement I and II
Creative Movement I – This class is designed for preschool age children. Coordination and rhythm are stressed in an environment that fosters creative expression. Private lessons available upon request. Rivertree enrichment classes are offered for students enrolled in the pre-school program a Rivertree.

Creative Movement II - Continuation of coordination and rhythm in an environment that fosters creative expression. Private lessons available upon request.

Beginner Ballet

Beginner Ballet I– This level is the first level of classical ballet training. Emphasis will be on developing coordination, endurance, flexibility, technical style, musicality, dance vocabulary, and technical style. Private lessons available upon request.

Advanced-Beginner Ballet : ages 6-8

This class is a continuation of Beginner Ballet with the students meeting three times a week. Students will improve in concentration, flexibility and begin to develop grace of movement. Dancers at this level will take ballet class twice per week. Private lessons available upon request.

Advanced-Beginner Ballet II : ages 7-9

This is the last class before moving to the Intermediate ballet levels.Dancers at this level will take ballet class twice per week along with a 30 min. stretch class. Students will improve in concentration, flexibility,strengh and begin to develop grace of movement.

Intermediate I Ballet
This ballet class concentrates on coordination, endurance, memory, flexibility, artistic expression, and an increased ballet vocabulary. Ballet students at this level expected to take three to four ballet classes per week. Dancers will be introduced to Character Dance at this level. Pointe work will be introduced when dancers are physically ready. Private lessons available upon request.

Intermediate I Ballet: Ages 10 yrs +

Advanced Ballet: Ages 15+
This level is a pre-professional division. Students in this level are groomed for the opportunity to pursue ballet as a career. Advanced students are offered classes five times weekly and are expected to attend a minimum of four times a week. At this level, students will have character dance as part of the curriculum. Dancers at this level are expected to take Pilates, Flexibility and Jazz/Modern classes. Private lessons available upon request.

Advanced Ballet: Ages 15+

Pointe/Variations
This class will help the student develop the concepts including the technical holding of the foot (muscularity), control of heel while descending from pointe, snatching, transfer of weight, coordination, strength and endurance. Variations from classical ballets will be introduced. Dancers are required to take a technique class for proper warm up before participating in a pointe class. Private lessons available upon request.

Pointe/Variations: Ages 10 yrs +

Adult/Teen Ballet
This class is designed for the older students who wish to continue dance as a form of fitness and fun. Also for those who dance focus is other than classical ballet and had not yet had the opportunity to take ballet. Private lessons available upon request.
